There's always something intriguing when it comes to new Bibles and this 'Woolen' edition is no exception. Though I wouldn't necessarily class it as woolly per-se; perhaps more like felt. But it is certainly tactile and with more of a look of a journal than a Bible. But then you open it up... inside is the NIV text (sorry, not Anglicised) with a presentation page and silver gilt edges making for an ideal Bible gift.
Though the font size isn't huge, the layout is clear and easy to read. And with the use of fine paper, the Bible itself measures less than one inch thick. The 'woolly' cover, with a stylish button popper, wraps neatly around the Bible making it ideal for carrying around in your handbag. Though it's not a compact Bible, it's not huge and lends itself to the happy combination of thinline but not super tiny print.
As Bibles become more aesthetically pleasing on the outside the hope is that more people pick one up and give it a read. As we know, the words inside are far more beautiful, pleasing and life-changing than any cover could be, but it doesn't hurt to be eye-catching!
