What is Prizegiving? Prizegiving is a tradition that both churches and schools. Children are given a gift to reward them for their participation, attendance, or as a leaving gift for children as they move to another school or move church groups.

Prizegiving is such a meaningful moment for a child and often, the gift that is given is seen as a keepsake and is treasured. I am now 23 and I still have my Youth Bible I was given when I moved from Sunday School into Youth when I was 10 years old. It brings back so many fond memories and I still use it now as a youth leader, working with teenagers in my church.

What should we give?

There is no specific type of gift that you should give to your children or young people. You know them best and know what would help them develop and grow spiritually
