Bethany Bookshop in Bridlington has been in business for over thirty five years and for the last twenty years has been in the safe hands of Chris and Christine Heywood. However the Heywoods are now looking to move on and provide an opportunity for someone else to take on the mantle of resourcing the church in this part of East Yorkshire.

Chris says; “With the closing of other full time shops in the area the shop now serves a very wide catchment area. We provide resources to the local community and a large surrounding area, from Whitby in the north to Hull in the south and inland as far as York. Being a coastal resort, we benefit from a summer boost of visitors in addition to the usual peaks of Easter and Christmas.

“We service bookstalls in a number of churches both in the town and surrounding area, some as far away as Scarborough, and offer a mailing service to anyone who is needs it.

“At about 350 sq. ft. the shop is not the largest, but has always been run as a successful business and is now ready for an influx of new ideas and fresh projects to enable it to serve into the future.”
