As followers of Jesus Christ, the people call Christians or Disciples, certain disciplines are expected to be part of our life. It appears many followers of Jesus know these biblical disciplines; however, they do what we call pick and choose. They are so comfortable with some disciplines but not interested in some. These habits or disciplines are meant to help Christians grow spiritually and draw closer to God. In this book, we will look at these spiritual disciplines that have been neglected or less favored by followers of Jesus Christ. When we look at the life of Jesus, we would see that Jesus never did pick and choose for all these spiritual disciplines. He practiced them all. Spiritual disciplines are intentional practices designed to foster spiritual growth and a deeper relationship with God. This work brings out a comprehensive compilation and biblical supports to these disciplines. While this may not be exhaustive in itself, most basic and significant disciplines are highlighted here. It is my prayer that as we study and begin to practice them, or as we are motivated to revive and restore them, God will use our sacred duty and commitment to draw us closer to Himself; that we experience spiritual transformation
and become more like Jesus.
