Who’d have thought that a giant blimp steered by a purple monkey puppet would be a brilliant place for kids to learn about the big questions in life? But what do I know! Clive & Ian are leading the pack in Children’s edutainment (entertain + educate = edutainment).
The humorous explorers have been given their flying license and have taken to the skies to answer 6 big (and universally asked) questions about God. The first thought that shot through my head was, ‘Why on God’s green earth are they in a blimp?’ No amount of watching this DVD or logical pondering answered my question – but it sure is funny... and rather silly too!
Silliness aside, Clive & Ian’s adventures really do answer BIG questions in ways everyone can understand; even young children. For example, they answer Emily’s question: 'Who created the universe?' They explain that the universe contains trillions of energy which can’t be created, only changed from one form to another. This means science can’t answer Emily’s question, which leads them to explaining what the Bible says in Genesis.
It’s always a good sign when a children’s product teaches (and wows) an adult who is surrounded by Christian products day-in-day-out. Anyone looking for ways of educating/entertaining children, watch the trailer and join the crowds of Christian parents and church workers who love these DVD’s.
