This latest adventure from the Veggietales gang sees their take on Star Trek with Captain Cuke (Larry) and Mr Spork (Bob) patrolling outer space in the USS Applepies. As well as the Star Trek gang (including Lt. Whoareya), Dr Who also makes a brief appearance. It’s a lesson about greediness and sharing (Luke 3:11) in which they take on a stealing space pirate, Luntar the Looter who is grabbing all the power he can. But through Luntar’s nephew Oliver (Junior) they learn a lesson about themselves, about what sharing means, and also discover the real reason for the power-grabbing. There’s much to chuckle at but also a strong message which children will be able to get hold of. There are popcorn space asteroids to avoid as they zoom around in their ‘spacion-wagon’ and the inevitable silly song with Larry – “Asteroid Cowboys”. Some great extras including sing-alongs and a very useful family discussion guide. As always with VeggieTales this is high-quality and good value.
