This year’s Spring Harvest builds solidly on more than 30 years of successful conferences combining worship, teaching, fellowship, faith based artistic expression and Christian entertainment. As with every Spring Harvest – at whichever venue and whatever time of year, Easter 2012 at Minehead and Skegness will be an exciting adventure of faith and fellowship.

Spring Harvest’s reputation as a cross-denominational, all age, evangelical Christian conference, teaching and concert event is second to none.

Gathering more than 45,000 people across its multiple venues and five day sessions, Spring Harvest is the inspirational gathering of Christians of all faith traditions and backgrounds who experience and enjoy a full programme of events to satisfy their own faith interests, needs and age profile.

Teaching, Worship and Sports for All

Adults can choose the teaching, worship celebration, seminar, workshop, sport or spirited debate events that engage them most. And for children, there are dedicated programmes for the under 5s, 5-7s and 8-11s, with youth events exclusively for 11-14s & 15-18s.

For 2012, Spring Harvest ‘Big Top’ worship leaders include Pete James, Vicky Beeching, Mark Beswick and Gerald Latty. Bible teaching is headed-up by Gerard Kelly with the theme: Church Actually, with supporting speakers Russell Rool, Andy Hickford and Ness Wilson.

Christian Entertainment, Music and Debate

With the best of Christian performance artists in theatre, poetry and music talent, the Spring Harvest famous late-night entertainment slots are a daily feature.

For 2012, the Christian entertainers include UK band Phatfish, Rebirth Dance Company, Bob Hartman, Abbey Guinness, Dave Hopwood, Riding Lights Theatre Company, Saltmine Theatre Company, Steve Legg and more.

The theme for Spring Harvest 2012 is taken from Gerard Kelly’s new book, Church Actually, with a clear and concise message for individuals and churches: Church is God’s brilliant idea, and God is calling his people individually and collectively to mission and service.

Each day of the Minehead and Skegness weeks, Gerard Kelly opens up God’s four brilliant ideas for the Church and his plan and purpose to:

• Shine through Them: - God shines through His people and connects them to His purpose for them in today’s world.
• Give them Power: - God only wants His people to shine He gives them the power to do so through his Spirit.
• Help them Love: - God gives Jesus to be the very essence and model of the Church as a servant in the community.

Since its beginnings in the Welsh coastal resort of Prestatyn, Spring Harvest has grown in a multi site worship, teaching and conference event. From 2,700 in 1979 the nation’s best loved pan-denomination gatherings unites and inspires more than 45,000 Christians annually across the UK.

With its primary aim of empowering the Church for action and service in today’s world, Spring Harvest gives Christians the time, space and resources to transform their faith and energise their mission. Leading speakers, thinkers and communicators from a broad spectrum of evangelical expression unite to renew the heart and mind of the individual Christian and Church collectively.

Firmly based in the Evangelical Alliance statement of faith, Spring Harvest not only achieves the renewal and reinvigoration of the individual, it provides the resources to equip the Church for mission.
