The Christian Film Review share their thoughts on Voiceless
Voiceless is a hard hitting, gripping pro-life film that will challenge you into standing up for what is right
The film follows a recently discharged soldier, Jesse Dean who has taken a new job as an outreach leader at an old church with a declining congregation in Philadelphia. Refusing to settle for conventional methods of outreach, Jesse wastes no time and sets up a boxing club to connection with those around the Church. However across the street he discovers an abortion clinic. Disturbed to see that the Church remains silent whilst a clinic performing abortions is free to operate just a few meters away, Jess begin to take actions. Preaching, protesting, convincing women who enter to change their mind: Jess puts his all into living out his convictions, and creating ripples throughout his community. As the two sides become more heated, a tragedy strikes which challenges everyone involved to ask themselves what is right, and what isn’t. Jesse has to put everything on the line… not just his job, but his freedom, and marriage as well.
As the film gets going the drama really picks up, as one man makes it his mission to try and save babies lives. There are unexpected twists and turns within his Church and within his marriage. The film is well produced and shot and really brings a dramatic dynamic which will have you gripped with the action as you see Jesse try and stand up for what is right.
Voiceless delivers a message that is unwavering and uncompromising that will challenge you to think about where you stand, will you stand up for your faith? Will you stand up for what is right?
The film also challenges the Church, how will us as a Church, as a congregation deal with situations like those in the film, are we ready to make a stand, will we make a stand? It might be an abortion clinic across the street, it might be something else, but whatever it is, if it isn’t right, will you, will your Church be unafraid to stand for what is right?
Will you stand up for your faith, even if it costs you everything?

Spiritual Growth
Long overshadowed by the celebrations of Easter Sunday, Lent is being rediscovered as a sacred time of reflection and renewal in its own right and a time of preparation for the joyous seasonal finale.
