In 2012, All Sons and Daughters released their debut album Season One, this month sees their deluxe live album release All Sons and Daughters Live, which gives us the opportunity to let you in on this little known worship duo who are taking the music scene by storm.
Similar to the likes of Mumford and Sons, The Lumineers and the UK's Rend Collective Experiment, All Sons and Daughters are a worship team of two: David Leonard and Leslie Jordan. The story began in 2009 when the two met at Journey Church in Nashville; the hometown of country music. Both began writing songs for the church and leading worship on Sunday mornings, which then evolved into the band, forming in 2010, and known today as All Sons and Daughters. Each with their own personal history of church involvement and musical talent, (David was part of the excellent NEEDTOBREATHE – I would strongly recommend checking them out if you've never heard them!) it was a natural progression for the two creative forces to combine.

What's extremely obvious about the All Sons and Daughters sound is their roots as worship leaders in church. Their songs, at heart, are written for the congregation and are packed full of faith-affirming, gospel truths and designed for God's people to cry out to Him. Plus, many of their songs are just waiting to be adopted by the UK Church; such as 'Rising Sun' and 'Reason to Sing'. Leslie's voice alone goes straight to the heart and will at times give you real goose bumps and, together, the duo's harmonies are as stunning as they are powerful.

Having toured with Chris Tomlin last year, All Sons and Daughters have a very bright future and I can't wait to join them on this journey. Here's hoping one day they will make it over to the UK to bless us on this side of the pond!
