This documentary film captures the ministry of a remarkable woman and her husband over the last 30+ years. It brings together a wide range of filmed sources of her work over 20 years in Mozambique plus interviews with family, friends and colleagues. It’s an insight into a woman who was “given back to God” by her mother when she contracted viral meningitis as a child and survived. Within weeks of her marriage she left the comfort of her home in the US to work as a missionary amongst cannibals in Indonesia.
After 12 years in Asia, two children and a subsequent PhD gained in London, she heard and answered a call to Mozambique, declared an atheist country by its President, whilst the country was in the midst of a terrible civil war. The work this woman and her husband have achieved is incredible but as she says “I believe in miracles, I believe in the impossible.” Inspiring and eye-opening.
