The cross was not improvised.

God rehearsed it for fifteen centuries - on the same calendar date, in the same city, at the same hour - before the performance finally arrived. When Jesus of Nazareth died on the fourteenth of Nisan at the ninth hour, He was keeping an appointment that had been on God's calendar since Leviticus. When He rose on the day after the Sabbath, He was fulfilling the Feast of Firstfruits to the exact ordinance. When the Spirit descended on the disciples fifty days later, He arrived on Shavuot - the same feast day, with the same fire and wind and multiple tongues, that God had used at Sinai fifteen centuries before.

The Lamb in Eden traces the Spring Feasts of Leviticus 23 from their origin in the Garden of Eden - where God performed the first substitutionary sacrifice in history - through their naming at Sinai, their rehearsal across fifteen centuries of faithful Israelite observance, and their precise fulfillment in the events of Passion Week and Pentecost. Every detail of the Passover ordinance was met at the cross. Every legal requirement of the wave-sheaf offering was fulfilled at the resurrection. Every element of the Sinai covenant - the fire, the wind, the multiple tongues, even the number of people who responded - appeared again in the upper room on the fiftieth day.

This book also asks the harder question: if the Spring Feasts were fulfilled with this level of precision, what was lost when the church replaced Passover with Easter? The answer is not merely a calendar date. What was lost was the legal argument that makes the resurrection more than a miracle - the argument that makes it a verdict.

The Fall Feasts remain on the calendar. Three appointments still to be kept. A God who has demonstrated four-for-four precision does not miss the final three.
