“When the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him.” Jesus is the perfect standard. Many Christians can no doubt attest to that truth. They can acknowledge that He rescued them from transgression and eternal damnation. But is that the ultimate purpose for us? Are we only the “lost” ones whom He came to seek and save? Is there a greater goal that He has for us than the “get out of hell free” concept that some encourage? The aim of The Standard is to pull together the pieces that show that His purpose for us is far greater. It explores the dynamic that what humanity was created for and is being called into, in renewed relationship with God, is deep, rich, and impactful, just like Jesus was when He walked the planet.
