Do you ever feel hopeless or depressed? Join the club. It's almost impossible to live in this world without experiencing lows from time to time. Some people can overcome these feelings of loss through sheer willpower. However, there are occasions when we are weighed down by personal defeats that lead to an overwhelming sense of helplessness. Hope for the Broken Spirit presents a series of poems and Scriptures to help the reader overcome anxiety and depression. ""When helplessness pervades; hope fades. Glenn Goree's little volume guides with disciplined rhyme, andrests on St. Paul's promise that God's love, poured out through the Holy Spirit, sustains hope. Therefore, even the most despondent may be assured of a strong undergirding of one's pervading worth--even on the darkest day."" --C. Leon Sims, Pastoral Psychotherapist Glenn Goree has over thirty years of counseling experience. He currently serves as a mental health consultant, and is also the Director of the counseling program for Oak Hills Church in San Antonio. His qualifications include MA, MEd, and LPC. Glenn is the author of Soular Eclipse, It's OK, Jesus Loves You Anyway, The Beauty in Ugly, and Nails from Bullets. For more information, visit www.glengoree.com.
