It is in the glory of the morning that I have seen my life clearly and have come to understand who I am. I now know where I have come from-the forces that brought a family together, tore it apart, helped it to heal, over and over again.

I can see now how fragile life is, how it turns on a moment, how one step leads to another, how a journey down one road leads to another road. And I can make peace with what is.

It was your usual family reunion, I suppose, but important to us, for this was the time when we got to see our Chattanooga cousins. We met them at Chickamauga Lake, to the east of Chattanooga, Tennessee.
