Before he was hospitalized, Dr Kim Maskell's patient had lived a predictable life as a postman. There had been nothing out of the ordinary about him as far as anyone could ascertain. But now Leonard Blake was defying science and logic, seemingly suspended in mid-air above the hospital. And every eye across the globe was focussed on this enigma. As crowds flock to the floating postman, the town's infrastructure is pushed to breaking point. Political and religious leaders need to respond and answer the questions everybody is asking – how and why the phenomenon is occurring. But who will emerge to become the figurehead of the growing movement?
