We've lost count of the number of times these lovely books have been reprinted but we do know that once a parish adopts Sister Joan's pro­gramme they stick with it for years.

One reason is that her books are designed to unite everyone in the preparation of the Sacraments. Another is that Loved and Forgiven (Recon­ciliation) and Meet Christ with Joy (First Communion) form a complete and personal record of these special times.

Printed in full colour through­out, these two lovely books are full of activities. Each book is a con­­tinuous develop­ment, leading from aware­ness of self and belonging, up to the wonder of meeting Christ him­­self in the Sacrament.

Sister Joan Brown is a Sister of Notre Dame de Namur with extensive experience of teaching and catechesis in both Britain and Africa. She has been involved with parish catechetical pro­grammes and is well known for her materials on celebrating the Liturgy of the Word with children. Sister Joan is also active in retreat direction and spirituality. She serves on the Liturgy Commission of the Diocese of Arundel and Brighton.
