Sharon Grenham-Thompson is a radio presenter, who frequently appears on Radio 2. She is also a prison chaplain at Bedford Jail, responsible for running a large multi-faith team.

How does she balance those two very different roles?

Is it possible to be comfortable in such different worlds? and what led her to get involved in the first place with the least in society?

Written with passion and understanding, Jail Bird explores how it is possible to reach out to those vilified in the press and by society at large, and to work for the good of all, recognising that those who commit crimes are not a separate species.
