From a brutal and impoverished background in Reading, England, Tom Hamblin became a believer as a teenager before serving as a missionary in the Far East.

He and his wife Edna spent more than a decade leading expeditions into the heart of Borneo. Gradually they become convinced that the Lord was calling them to minister in the Arabic peninsula: in particular, to carry in thousands of Bibles in Arabic, Farsi and Urdu.

They conveyed shipment after shipment into this region, never losing a copy and surmounting all restrictions. Customs guards turned a blind eye. Tom distributed Bibles very simply: walking around with a bag and waiting for people to ask him what he was doing!

The Islamic world is widely regarded as closed to the gospel, but this is untrue. Tom discovered an extensive network of believers - very few churches, but many clandestine meetings for worship - and a huge hunger for truth.

A great read!

'When you cannot put a book down and have to read some more, you know you have in your hands, a well written and exciting story. Even better when it is a true story about real people and real events. Tom's very sad and turbulent life was changed in his teens when he met Jesus. God gave him a ministry in South East Asia and then re-directed him and Edna his wife in a very different mission: to deliver thousands of Bibles in the Arabian Peninsula.........well you will just have to read it! I thoroughly recommend you to. It will encourage and bless you.'

Read At Your Peril

When recommending this wonderful book to friends, it goes with a 'health warning', as anyone who reads the account of Tom and Edna's exploits for Jesus, will never quite be the same again.

'Under Their Very Eyes' should be compulsory reading for all Christians.

I sense that God Himself is speaking through the pages, calling the 'nominal church' to waken from it's slumber, and become fearlessly alive for Jesus.

Tom and Edna Hamblin have lived their lives as warriors for Christ. Their first step on this path was a 'total and complete yielding' to all that God through the Holy Spirit would say to them. And then, as vessels the Master could use, they went where most of us would fear to tread.

Read this book at your peril. It may change your life, forever!!
