"New Psalter of the Roman Breviary" is an essential guide to the liturgical reforms of the early 20th century, specifically the restructuring of the Divine Office under Pope Pius X. This work provides a comprehensive exploration of the Psalms as they are arranged for weekly recitation within the Roman Catholic tradition. Authored by Reverend L.C. Fillion, a distinguished Sulpician scholar, the text offers both the structural framework and the spiritual depth necessary for a profound understanding of daily prayer.

The volume details the distribution of the Psalms throughout the liturgical week, providing insightful commentary and theological context that enriches the reader's engagement with the scriptures. By examining the "New Psalter," Fillion assists both clergy and laity in navigating the rhythmic beauty and doctrinal significance of the prayers that form the heart of the Breviary. This book stands as a significant historical and devotional resource, capturing a pivotal era in the evolution of Catholic worship. It remains a valuable tool for those interested in the history of the liturgy, biblical exegesis, and the enduring power of the Psalms as the foundational prayer of the Church.
