This Sunday, Oprah Winfrey sat down with author Father Richard Rohr for her SuperSoul Sunday interview

‘All my books are an attempt to lead people to their divine nature,’ Father Richard Rohr explained to Oprah Winfrey on her SuperSoul Sunday this weekend. From the nature of God and the ‘true self’ to the way Christianity has been historically good at holding onto the past but not embracing the future, Father Rohr and Oprah dive into some of the contents of his many books, including his recently published The Universal Christ.

‘I would have never thought I would write books one day, but I’m grateful,’ Father Rohr told Oprah. Referring to himself as a remarkably ordinary man, Father Rohr went onto discuss how success should not be taken too seriously: ‘Success is hardly ever your true self, only your early window dressing’ explains Father Rohr before going on to state that humans should not take themselves – their successes or their failures – too seriously.
