Chris Cole, founder of the Christian broadcast ministry ‘Cross Rhythms’ has announced he is to leave the role at GOD TV that he took on six years ago, after 23-years of service with Cross Rhythms.
And now, after six years working for Rory and Wendy Alec at GOD TV, Cole is set to return to Cross Rhythms in a new fundraising role.
Cole joined the GOD TV team six-years-ago as Regional Director for the UK and Ireland leaving behind many of his responsibilities at Cross Rhythms, which was set up in the early 1980s to help grow the influence of contemporary Christian Music in the UK.
In a statement he said: "The time and season I worked for Rory and Wendy and GOD TV as Regional Director for the U.K. and Ireland has been an amazing experience and a real privilege before God.
“Their emphasis to bring Holy Spirit filled, anointed programming and youth conferences to the world is being honoured by the Father; but it is now clear that the Lord is leading me into a new season of responsibilities to focus on."
Rory Alec said "Chris approached Wendy and I over 18 months ago saying that he sensed God's call to a new season of ministry outside of GOD TV. We have known Chris and Kerry since before GOD TV was launched in the U.K. We are thankful for the time that Chris served this ministry and we wish him well".
Jonathan Bellamy, Cross Rhythms CEO, welcomed the news. He said: "The timing of this new freedom for Chris couldn't be better.
“In the last nine months God has clearly been leading Cross Rhythms into a new season of expansion, including new radio vision into Bethlehem, India and Thailand; early steps into online TV youth programmes; and the gathering momentum of our media training work as we look to raise up the next generation of media missionaries.
“With his unparalleled experience of nearly 30 years in Christian media and Christian leadership in the UK; his deep understanding of Cross Rhythms' unique approach to media; his passion for building the Kingdom of God in our nation; and his father's heart desire to see the current Cross Rhythms leadership and team truly succeed; we could not ask for a better person to get behind our growing vision and help empower it through the connections, motivation and expertise that Chris will bring."
