That’s why Eden is delighted to be supporting the Speaking Volumes Annual Book Grants again this year - a UK charity dedicated to placing Christian books into the hands of people who need comfort, hope and a sense of belonging.
For years, Speaking Volumes has worked closely with schools, hospitals, libraries and community groups, helping them offer uplifting and faith-filled resources to those they serve. But today, the charity is expanding into new and urgent areas - prisons, homeless shelters and bereavement support spaces - where books are often a lifeline.
Offering comfort in Homeless Shelters
Homelessness can be isolating, frightening and exhausting. Shelters are increasingly looking for resources that offer emotional grounding. Donations from Speaking Volumes allow frontline workers to provide gentle, accessible Christian books - reminders that no one is forgotten. All our books are carefully considered to suit the audiences into which they are placed and the selection reflects this.
Supporting those facing loss
