As Speaking Volumes continues its mission into 2026, the charity is calling on schools, prisons, homeless shelters and bereavement services to join a growing network of grantees who believe in the healing power of books.
A Charity with a clear purpose
Eden is delighted to be supporting the Speaking Volumes Annual Book Grants again this year, as they exist to support organisations that want to offer encouragement, faith and emotional support within their communities. Through grants, sponsorships and donations, the charity makes it possible to place Christian books into spaces where they can make the biggest difference.
Over the past year, Speaking Volumes has seen growing demand for books that address:
• emotional resilience
• grief and bereavement
• identity and belonging
• forgiveness
• hope and recovery
• and Christian storytelling for Children
These are universal needs; whether someone is a child learning about empathy, a prisoner seeking direction, or an adult navigating loss.
Why 2025 was a pivotal year
More prisons and shelters are requesting resources. Teachers are asking for value-based materials that support wellbeing curricula. Bereavement teams need accessible, sensitive books for families facing heartbreak. Speaking Volumes aims to respond to every need - but this requires awareness, partnerships and continued support.
An invitation to apply
If you know a community service, chaplaincy, school, hospice, charity or shelter that could benefit from free christian books, Speaking Volumes would love to hear from you.
Together, we can build spaces of hope and compassion, one book at a time.
