Today is the day!
Rescuer, the brand new song from the home-spun worship group Rend Collective, is here - and you can listen to it below!
Marking a triumphant return to new music after two years of campfires, tours and globe trotting, Rend Collective have made a song that feels vital. Rescuer is all about good news. It’s a resounding shout against the floods of bad news that seemingly grow each day. It is a reminder to look towards God for hope.
Now, more than every good news is what we need.
This why their upcoming tour, and possibly the forthcoming album, are called Good News. It reminds you that “it is not about making bad people good, it’s about making dead people alive”, as lead singer Chris Llewellyn called out whilst on tour in Toronto. In God there is Good News. And in my book, any new Rend Collective music is also good news!
With a catchy chorus, and the shouts of “Hey!” that are a staple of Rend Collective’s home-made sound, Rescuer the band’s most rousing song to date. Like the Lumineers with extra light, there is a definite foot-stomping to this new song.
The Good News Tour runs from the 5th October to 20th May, with the UK & Ireland leg starting in February. Their new album is due for release early 2018. Listen to the song below!
