Greenbelt, the UK’s leading Christian arts and music festival, is inviting applications from artists and speakers keen to appear at the event.
The festival, which is held in the August Bank Holiday, and attracts around 21,000 people to a mixture of music, talks, worship happenings and arts installations regularly hosts big-name speakers and bands from across the spectrum of Christianity.
But it also provides a platform for less well known musicians and speakers with something special to offer.
Greenbelt began in 1974 and in the years since has cemented a reputation as a home for political activism, alternative worship, provocative speakers, and stimulating music and arts.
The deadline for applications or nominations for speakers and musicians at the 2012 event, which is called ‘Saving Paradise’ is the 15th of February, and the festival is only accepting online submissions, in order to prevent waste and minimise environmental impact.
To pitch an idea for a talk, suggest a speaker, propose a musician, or get a chance to play, you should click here.
Submissions for areas such as literature, comedy, worship/spirituality, film or children’s work, can also be made by following the links on the same page.
Musicians will need link to a Soundcloud or Bandcamp page, and speakers will need to provide a high resolution photograph.
Organisers say that applicants will hear back by 30th April.
