__Young's Literal Translation - finally readable.__In 1862, Robert Young produced the most word-for-word faithful English translation of Scripture ever made - preserving every tense, every article, and every word order exactly as the biblical authors wrote them. There was one problem. Young wrote in the English of Victorian Scotland. Thee, thou, doth, hath, behoveth, sheweth. Language that was already formal in his own day has become a wall between modern readers and the most literal Bible translation in existence.
