    Product Description

Nehemiah was the cupbearer to the king of Persia, AKA Governor of Persian Judea. Historically this position, although it placed his life on the line daily, also came with authority and high pay. But when Nehemiah was informed of the state of the walls of Jerusalem, his heart was burdened to leave his life and livelihood to do the work of the Lord. He chose the hardships of his calling over the ease of his secular life.As the hero of the movie my youngest son watched over and over called Robots, Nehemiah's motto seemed to be, "See a need, fill a need." Nehemiah saw that the walls were broken down and burned, and inquired into the situation. Then he took the problem directly to God. I love how he began his communication with his father with a contrite heart. He began by mourning for the loss of his people and their promised land. He came to God prayerfully in repentance for the sins of his people, and recalled to God the covenant He had made to heal the land if the people would return to Him. The intercessory prayers of Nehemiah serve as an example to all of us.
