The Book of Uncommon Prayer is a collection of short, honest prayers about the ordinary misdemeanours of the human heart: pride, envy, irritation, distraction, worry, stubbornness, self-importance, and all the other things we are remarkably good at explaining away.

The tone is playful, but the purpose is serious. These prayers are intended to make us smile, recognise ourselves, and then perhaps pause long enough to speak honestly to God.

Because mercy makes honesty possible.

For naughty boys and girls of all ages.
