Street Pastors tells the story of a small group of faith-filled Christians who took to the crime-ridden streets of Brixton. Les Isaac was behind this initiative, which helps with binge drinking, loneliness, gang culture, knife and gun crime, violence and fear.
Les Isaac shares his compelling story in Street Pastors. There is a hallmark partnership between local government, police and churches. Les Isaac also points out the benefits for Christian mission and unity.
The idea of Street Pastors has now inspired over 125 teams to serve their communities all over Britain, involving more than three thousand Christians.
Les Isaac is the founder of the Street Pastors initiative. He has worked as a church leader for over twenty years, always seeking to engage with the same hard-to-reach communities that he came from. Les Isaacs has also authored Dreadlocks and Relevant Church and the director of Ascensions Trust, which administrates the Street Pastors scheme.
