The Greatest Story Ever ToldBear GryllsThis is a great read - if you're new to faith or have been a Christian for a long time, Bear Grylls opens up Scripture in a new and evocative way. As you journey with many familiar characters from Jesus' life you get a real sense of their humanity and what it must have been like to walk alongside Christ. If you've enjoyed watching The Chosen then I would highly recommend this. If you're wondering how accurate this depiction is then fear not, it does take some creative license BUT the words of Christ are in there and he worked with Andrew Ollerton to ensure it held true. (author The Bible Course and many other books on the Bible) It will also have you returning back to Scripture to re-read passages it may have brought to life in a new way as well as get you to read them in the different Gospels to see how they differ as this re-telling combines all the Gospels to give a broad Gospel picture. Bear's heart for this project was to reach a new audience and inspire people to re-look at the person of Jesus and I really think he's done just that!
