Safe Families and Home For Good

Safe Families and Home for Good exists to see children and families thrive. Safe Families offers support, hope and belonging to isolated families by connecting them caring volunteers. Home for Good ensures there is a stable, nurturing home for every child who needs one through fostering, adoption, and supported lodgings. We do this together with and through the local church. We work all across the UK with over 4,500 volunteers from over 800 churches. Together, we hope for a society where no family feels alone, and every child has a home where they can flourish. We believe the church is central to this vision.

Safe Families & Home for Good

Safe Families and Home for Good is a Christian, community-based charity that seeks to see children and families thrive. Safe Families empowers local volunteers, predominately from the church, to engage with those most at need. We exist to create relationship and connection, offering support, hope and belonging to improve the lives of those in our communities, because everyone deserves to belong. Working hand-in-hand with Children’s Services and local authorities, we link children, young people and families with local volunteers who can offer help and support. Working with a large volunteer base Safe Families assists families in crisis by offering remote support, respite care to children and befriending to struggling parents and carers.

Home for Good ensures that every child in the care system can find a stable, nurturing home. Home for Good works on the ground to inspire and equip the local church to consider fostering, adoption, and supported lodgings, and support those who care for children and young people with care experience.

Safe Families and Home for Good is committed to ensuring all children have a stable and nurturing place to call home, an environment that feels safe, and people they can trust who will offer care and support.

We want no-one to feel alone, no child, no teenager, no parent, no foster carer, or adopter. We know that everyone deserves to belong, and we believe passionately in the important part the Church has to play, alongside others, to offer that belonging.

Just as we are committed to serving the church to be part of this. Equipping its people to respond, whether that is an hour, a month or a lifetime.
