Small grants to charitable projects in the diocese concerned with women.

Cariad Kenya's main project is supporting Mudzini Kwetu Centre in Kikambala, a village outside Mombasa. The charity gives support with finances and advice for the welfare, education and justice for the underprivileged children. Many people know of this work and children and adults support in raising funds for the home.

Caritas Social Action Network (CSAN) is the official domestic social action agency of the Catholic Bishops' Conference of England and Wales and a member of Caritas Internationalis. We support our family of charities and dioceses and seek to strengthen and facilitate Catholic charitable activities, and to bring the voices of the poor and Catholic teaching to bear in guiding public policy.

CAFOD is the official aid agency of the Catholic Church in England & Wales. We:- work with communities in the global South to overcome poverty - protect lives & relieve suffering during emergencies- raise awareness of the causes of poverty to inspire a commitment to lasting change- challenge those with power to adopt policies and behaviour that promote justice & end poverty

RESOURCING PRISON CHAPLAINCY DEPARTMENTS

Church Action on Poverty works with people living in poverty, the churches and others to overcome poverty in the UK. We aim to have a sustainable livelihood for all; give a voice to people living in poverty and encouraging a church that is mobilised to work with others to overcome poverty,forming alliances with those of good will from all faith and none.

How we work:- By encouraging the formulation of investment policies based on Christian ethical principles and assisting each other in putting such policies into practice - for instance by publishing research.- By encouraging responsible business practices through engagement with company managements.- By sharing information and views on ethical matters related to investment.

Frontline services focus on 10-18 year olds who live with significant disadvantage, poverty, neglect and who have complex needs and face multiple risks. These include child exploitation, mental health, missing and runaways from home, substance misuse and children in and around the care system. We campaign about what needs to change to improve the lives of disadvantaged children and young people.

Churches and Industry Group Birmingham is an ecumenical charity providing workplace chaplains to care for people at work in Birmingham and Solihull and acts with other denominations and faiths to promote a more humane and just society, affirming work as part of God's creative purpose.

Feed the Minds' vision is "A world in which all people everywhere have the opportunity to live life in all its fullness". We run practical education projects with local partners; to help adults gain knowledge, skills and confidence that transforms their lives. Each project covers either health education, work skills, civic education, peacebuilding or practical theological education.

Our activities in the community include educational programmes aimed at instilling responsibility, respect and self worth in young people as well as providing a moral code through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Programmes include a performing arts group, the Young Soldierz, which campaigns against gun and knife crime and bullying through performances in schools, concerts and community events.

Greenbelt is an independent Christian charity working to express love, creativity and justice through the arts and contemporary culture in the light of the Christian gospel.Greenbelt holds an annual festival celebrating arts, faith and justice. Donations are distributed through small and medium-size grants to initiatives, inspired by faith, that liberate creativity in the face of injustice.

For the purpose of providing good quality furniture free of charge to those who have been rehoused due to crisis and who find themselves in the position of having to furnish a new home from scratch without the means to do so; promoting the recycling and re-use of furniture; and promoting social inclusion for those who are socially marginalised.

Street Pastors patrol town centres providing help & assistance to people who are suffering the effects of over consumption of alcohol; are at risk of violence; feel unsafe or just value the extra feeling of safety from having volunteer Street Pastors around. School Pastors provide uniformed patrols around local schools. Their role is to provide support to students and a positive adult presence.

Carrying out research into what the Bible teaches about social, political and economic institutions and policy and what the Bible says about such institutions and how policy can be used to provide insights into the problems of contemporary societies.Publishing the findings of such research into the general public and to Christian churches and Christians through teaching, preaching and writing.
