We are a church of about fifty members, situated on the edge of Ormskirk, a university town in Lancashire. APBC is a reformed Baptist church, with the 1689 Confession as the underlying basis of faith, and we follow a reformed, God-centred pattern of worship; we seek to proclaim Christ to all whom we can reach and also support gospel work throughout the world. We are currently seeking a man of God to be our pastor. He would normally lead worship, including ministering the Word of God on the Lord's Day in the morning and evening, and also midweek (although there is flexibility here), and to be a shepherd and example to the flock of God. As directed in Scripture, we seek to be led and shepherded by a plurality of elders (currently we have one elder and an associate (advisory) elder) who are supported by deacons for the practical work of the church (currently we have four deacons).
