Location: St Mark’s Church, Haydock, WA11 0AX, with work in local primary schools Hours: 20 hours per week Contract: Fixed-term for 3 years, subject to a successful 6-month probationary period

Salary: Real Living Wage – £13.45 per hour Equivalent to £13,988 per annum (subject to PAYE and NI)

Holidays: 136 hours per annum, pro rata, inclusive of Bank Holidays

Notice Period: 4 weeks

DBS: Enhanced DBS Check required

About the Role St Mark’s Church is seeking a Children’s Pastor to help lead and grow our ministry among children and families.

This is a key role at the heart of our mission. You will help children encounter Jesus, grow as His disciples, and become part of the life of the church. Alongside this, you will develop strong links with local primary schools and help shape gospel opportunities within our community.

We are praying for the right person to join us in raising a generation who know and follow Jesus.

Key Responsibilities (Summary) Lead and develop all aspects of children’s ministry within the church Build and strengthen relationships with local primary schools Plan and deliver engaging groups, events and outreach activities Recruit, train and support a team of volunteers Offer pastoral care to children and their families Ensure safeguarding, health and safety, and good practice are upheld Key Attributes (Summary) Essential:

A committed follower of Jesus, with an active and growing faith Consistent involvement in a local church over at least the past three years Able to communicate the Christian faith clearly to children, including those with little or no church background Recent experience of leading children’s work in a church context Positive, motivated and organised, with strong relational skills Able to prioritise effectively and respond flexibly to the demands of the role

Desirable:

Experience of working in or alongside primary schools Relevant training or qualifications in children’s ministry Full driving licence A heart for outreach and mission How to Apply If you are passionate about seeing children come to know Jesus and grow in faith, we would love to hear from you.
