Care For The Family
Our kids are facing a whole new level of complexity as they grow up in a turbulent digital world. Bullying, screen time, porn, deep fakes, disinformation, lessening attention span, the rise of AI and VR … these are just some of the issues our children are facing online. The enormity of these parenting challenges can be overwhelming; but we can’t afford to ignore them and they are issues we have the power to tackle. We need to remember, if we’re not talking to our children about the world, then someone else is. The last thing we want to do is scare parents about the impact technology is having on their children or pile on any guilt. There’s plenty of that out there already. But we don’t want to shy away from the problems either. It’s never too late to establish healthy digital boundaries with your children – whatever their age. Join us for a practical evening to help you feel more confident in this stage of parenting.

All Saints Marcham
All Saints is a lively, family-friendly, evangelical Church of England church serving the villages of Marcham, Garford and Frilford, near Abingdon in Oxfordshire. In recent years we have seen encouraging growth in our work with children and families — particularly through Holiday Club, schools work and weekly discipleship in church. On average, we serve 20 children (0-11) on Sundays, 30 children (5-11) at our weekly after-school club and 80 at our annual Holiday Club. We are looking for a Children and Families Worker to join our friendly, motivated and supportive staff team to build on this momentum. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape and grow ministry with children and families, deepen discipleship, and enable more families to encounter the love of God.The role will involve developing new initiatives as well as strengthening our existing programmes. A key part of the role will be recruiting and supporting volunteers to ensure this ministry is sustainable for the future.
