Perhaps two of the most common reasons for men leaving the ministry today are moral failure and depression, or 'burn-out.' The two addresses in this booklet have been selected from C. H. Spurgeon's well-known Lectures to My Students (also published by the Trust), with the hope that they will be of real practical help to pastors. 'The Minister's Self-Watch' will help you guard your heart, life, and teaching. 'The Minister's Fainting Fits' will supply much needed encouragement to persevere in the work the Master has given you to do.'May he in whose hand are the churches and their pastors bless these words to younger brethren in the ministry, and if so I shall count it more than a full reward, and shall greatly praise the Lord.' — C. H. Spurgeon
