This title is now in paperback (HB published 1999). It shows how worship activities define the concept "church". It explores: the meaning of the term "church"; the relationship of the local liturgical assembly and other Christian assemblies; the personal and communal charter of the liturgical assembly; and the critical principles of liturgy and culture. It focuses on community and assembly to discuss the sacraments. It is written by a leading scholar in worship and liturgy.
