The Appointed Times, also known as the Jewish holy days, were established in the Law of Moses almost 3,500 years ago. These sacred events were given by the Lord for the people of Israel to honor and observe every year on specific dates throughout each year as festivals, new moons, and Sabbath days. They were given to Israel to annually teach about their Messiah, who would, one day, be revealed as Jesus of Nazareth, making them as relevant to Christians as they are to the nation of Israel.

The Appointed Times that occur in the springtime are shadows of Jesus' first coming, 2,000 years ago - teaching of His death, burial, resurrection, and giving the Holy Spirit - clearly identifying Jesus of Nazareth as the promised Messiah. The Appointed Times that occur in the fall (autumn) foreshadow the glorious return of the Messiah, who will reign with great power as the King of kings of the earth for all eternity - a day that is still future.

Designed as a guidebook, this booklet presents a brief explanation of each Appointed Time on the left-hand page and the Messiah's fulfillment on the right - allowing the reader to see at a glance both the timing and the substance of each shadow prophecy. Each section is designed to be read shortly before its corresponding Appointed Time arrives on the calendar - in the spring for Passover, The Feast of Unleavened Bread, First Fruits, and Pentecost, and in the fall, the Day of Trumpets, the Day of Atonement, and Feast of Booths.

A brief companion video (approximately six minutes) accompanies each section and may be viewed alongside the reading as an introduction to the related sermon. The booklet may also be read devotionally at any time of year as a standalone introduction to the Appointed Times and their fulfillment in Jesus the Messiah.
