God's Plan For The World

Christians hope for a better future - for restoration and renewal. But what is the basis of this hope and what kind of future does the Bible say that it will be? Does heaven exist? If so, where is it? God promised a Kingdom - but where and when? Is this kingdom a 'mystical' place, deep within every person, or is it 'out there' - somewhere? Some Christians say that they are on the road to heaven, but others think that God's kingdom will be on earth. Who, if any, are right? And what about the Jews who say that they are God's chosen people? Their recent history does not seem to be very enviable. If they have rejected Jesus as being their Messiah then what dies this mean? What about the promises that God made to the Jews? Has God forgotten them or given up on them? Indeed - has God given up on the world to leave it to its own devices?

This book takes an overview of what the Bible has to say about God's plan for the world and what it means for each and every one of us. It looks at the narrative of Scripture - at what has happened so far, what is happening now and what is planned to happen in the future as God's plan moves to completion.
