John Lynch writes that in God's undying faithfulness to us, God goes out to the highways and byways where we live. God goes inside of our hearts, beyond the fences we put up when we hold our peace. John Lynch is a Lutheran theologian and pastor. After achieving his doctorate in Paris, France, he served more than twenty years as a Roman Catholic priest. In 1982, after a long period of thought and prayer, he became a Lutheran pastor. He serves Magothy-Chelsea Community Lutheran Church, Pasadena, Maryland; Holy Trinity Lutheran, Laurel, Maryland; and the Maryland Institute of Pastoral Counseling, Annapolis.
