Discover the spiritual legacy of one of Scotland's most respected Evangelical ministers in Gleanings from Matthew's Gospel. This compelling volume contains the complete collection of sermons by Lachlan Mackenzie (1754-1819) on the Gospel of Matthew, and is supplemented by illuminating biographical and historical insights. Known affectionately as 'Mr Lachlan', his 36-year ministry was blessed by God and transformed the Wester Ross parish of Lochcarron. His sermons were marked by profound theological depth, originality, and vivid illustration. With an earnest focus on the need for regeneration and preparation for eternity, Lachlan Mackenzie's preaching touched countless lives, drawing listeners from a wide area of the Highlands. Lachlan Mackenzie's influence transcended his parish and generation. His writings continue to nourish, inspire, and challenge readers today. Gleanings from Matthew's Gospel stands as both a tribute to his enduring ministry and a treasure trove of spiritual riches from a true messenger of God.
