The dramatic shift related to God's Holy Spirit that occurred on the Day of Pentecost, immediately following Christ's death and ascension to heaven. God's actions on that day were a monumental event in human history and in His great master plan of salvation. God's Holy Spirit was poured out and made available, not just to the disciples and Israel, but to nations far off and to all that God may call. Through His Spirit, God works for us and through us to bring us into His Kingdom. 1 Corinthians 12:7 NIV: Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. Jesus said in John 14:12 NIV, : Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works, I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.
