The Right Support System

Your support system should be just that, supportive. It is hard for many of us to ask for help. Even more so, it is hard for ministry leaders who have both destiny and call to discern those who are the "right fits" for their lives. Can they be trusted with upholding the execution of divine purpose in their lives while safeguarding a vessels humanity?
Many wrestle with the following questions:
When do I ask for help?
In what situations have I asked for help in the past?
When I ask for help, what am I feeling?
What do I think will happen?
Do I have negative or positive expectations?
Am I surrounded with the right people?
Support systems are only effective if you use them. A support system is made up of people who intentionally provide support, value, and attention. In ministry and in life, these are comprised of people who are in your corner. Individuals, who have this level of access and proximity, do not judge you or ridicule you. The Right Support System is comprised of key individuals who are genuine and work in your best interest. Their support is not self-serving. They have a positive impact on your ministry endeavors and personal goals. There is an ebb and flow to support.
