Martin Luther's German translation of Scripture is, arguably, one of the most remarkable. Translated independely of previous German translations, Luther's Bible is essentially the product of his own genius, yet it is still widely unexplored and underappreciated.

This collection of essays pushes us toward a better understanding of this monumental translation of the Bible, inviting us to understand Scripture through the lens of one of Christianity's greatest theologians.
