In the year 1276, a conflict arose between the Bishop of Assauensis and Prince Llewellyn of Wales concerning various ecclesiastical rights and liberties. The Bishop and his Chapter accused the Prince of multiple injustices, including the unlawful seizure of property, interference in ecclesiastical matters, and the denial of rights to the clergy. Despite papal intervention, the Prince continued to violate these rights. The document lists specific grievances and calls for action from the Archbishop of Canterbury to remedy the situation.
