Our starting point for Theology & Doctrine is Jim Packer's Concise Theology which explores the central aspects of the Christian Faith in short chapters designed to be read by Christians of all ages. Our second recommendation is Mere Christianit' by C S Lewis, which is an absolute modern-ish classic! Here Lewis generously, winsomely, and persuasively, outlines the Christian Faith to Christians and non-Christians, leaving the reader with a wonderful impression of the beauty of Christianity. We round off this category with Institutes of the Christian Religion by John Calvin which for almost 500 years has been one of the most influential books on 'systematic theology'. This is a modern translation of the completed French edition and is a fantastic resource when reading cover-to-cover or just dipping into when needed.
