The Bible — Big Picture

Our Recommendations

10 titles

If you're looking for an introduction to the 'big picture' of the Bible, then Vaughan Roberts' God's Big Picture is a great starting point. A second option is Levy & Blackham's Bible Overview which is a similar overview which places a stronger emphasis on Christ in the Old Testament. Both are edifying and well worth reading, but their different approaches may help readers to a greater understanding when cross-referenced. This leads us to our third pick, How to Read the Bible for All It's Worth. In this book, Fee & Stuart provide a more detailed offering which introduces the reader to genres of literature, cultural and historical context, and how to interpret Scripture for the 21st-century. It's difficult to overstate how good this one is!
