Dave Walker, a 35-year-old cartoonist, web editor and former church and community youth worker has earned international fame, not only as a cartoon commentator on the state of the Church (local and universal) and regular cartoonist on the Church Times, but as the creator of ''The Dullest Blog in the World''.

The New York Times reported, "Mr. Walker has raised dull blogging to an art form by meticulously chronicling mundane events in his life: checking e-mail, turning his head to the right, walking past the ironing board, and thinking about making some food. His minimalist musings have attracted something of a cult following, with his blog (www.wibsite.com/wiblog/dull/) counting about 85,000 page views a month. Seldom has dullness generated such keen interest."

His cartoons have a similar wry, unexpected quality - he turns his humour towards such subjects as What Your Pew Says About You, When to Stand Up For a Hymn, Flags on Church Towers, The Dangers of Arriving Too Early or too Late, and other uneventful aspects of life in local churches.
