Sitting in this chair,

Wondering how I'll live.

Lost in questions,

Lost in, "Why?"

Through clouded mind,

Your quiet voice whispers,

"Live, my love, to the full.

I did not die

I'm awake

_I'm alive "_Grief is a personal journey that is often filled with unexplained emotions and numberless moments of walking side-by-side with Christ, praying for words, wisdom, and answers.

In a candid collection of narratives, stories, and poetry shared to help those struggling with loss, Mark Lanford offers an inspirational glimpse into his sometimes lonely, sometimes supported walk through heart-shattering grief after losing his wife of forty-two years. Within his confessional, redemptive, and restorative writings lie forgiveness; a surrendering of trust, faith and freedom; and finally a celebration of life as God-Father, Son, and Holy Spirit-lovingly ministers and guides through every joy, memory, and sorrow.

Themes in the Midst chronicles a journey of great loss, immense grace, surrender, and finally profound joy as they interweave to create healing, all with utmost care by the hand of God.
