This book has the colour illustration, textual simplicity and styling to appeal to the 7 year old - and all the charm and respectfulness to appeal to the adult buying the book. Designed with a fill-in page to commemorate the event, and space on the endpapers for a photo to be stuck in, it contains prayers - including many from or inspired directly by the Bible - on the themes of praising God, acknowledging one's baptism, coming to confession, taking part in holy communion, and seeking the great virtues. The book concludes with a section of appealing and reassuring blessings.
